Originally the haunt of smugglers, The Masons Arms is a 14th Century Inn with immense character in the main bar area. Free House, serving Otter Ale, Masons Ale, Tribute, Branoc and guest ales. But now, it is also a decent hotel as well with 24 rooms (many in the modern buildings around the car park). But this is worth the short 3/4 mile detour from the South West Coastal Path because of the quality of the restaurant (plenty of very local seafood) and the charm of the surroundings - the village is a gem.
