The South West Coastal Path runs through the garden of this pub, which is set on the cliffs of Osmington Mills with great views across Weymouth Bay. It was the base of the famous smuggler, Pierre Latour in the 18th century, who fell in love with the landlord's daughter, Arabella Carless, who was shot dead helping him to escape from the authorities.
