Built in 1570, the Ship Inn is close to the river in Trafalgar Square (though not on the water itself and with no view of the water), offering welcoming open fires out of season. Very close to te south west coastal path. St Austell Tinners Ale, Tribute and HSD. Bar meals, plus a restaurant. Lots of fish on the menu including home made crab and mussel soup, Thai fishcakes and prawn risotto. (Has three or four rooms as well for overnight accomodation)
