Port Isaac to Padstow
Start and Finish
From Port Isaac to Padstow
Distance
12 miles
Type of Walk
Low cliffs, then a fine walk around Pentire Point before heading inland along the sandy paths along the Camel Estuary by Polzeath and Rock.
Points of Interest
Recommended because of the fine walking, the combination of cliffs and sandy estuary (the dunes near Polzeath are fabulous) - but also because Port Isaac and Padstow are both great places to stay, with Port Quin an ideal lunch spot. Also, the ferry to Padstow runs most of the year and is a pleasant way to finish (or start) the day's walking.
The Saints' Way: Padstow is the start/end of the Saints' Way, an ancient route across Cornwall to Fowey. Unspoilt and relaxing, the Saints' Way is 30 miles of peaceful back roads and paths which very few people walk - a tremendous and remote excape.
