Type of Walk

Quite remote and winding woodland walking for much of the distance to Countisbury Common, then more open walking around Foreland Point (detour to lighthouse). Gradual decline towards Lynmouth.

Points of Interest

Culbone Church, in the thick of the woods. Foreland Point. Countisbury has a terrific pub with an immense fire. Lynmouth itself, scene of the freak downpour and flood in 1952. Also a focal point for the majestic Exmoor uplands.
