The waterfront  of Plymouth, with a ferry across to MountBatten. Mix of developed cliff walking,becoming more remote towards Wembury Point. Then an easy path to Wembury beach and National Trust paths to the ferry across the River Yealm (summer only - other times of year there is a very long inland detour required!)

Points of Interest

Recommended because of the variety of highlights - the historical dock area around Plymouth Hoe which has been carefully restored to be enjoyed from the South West Coastal Path; the great views of nautical activity towards Staddon Point; pretty walking from Wembury to the Yealm; and Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, fabulous estuary villages to stay in.
