Just up from the south west coastal path at Lamorna Cove, this village is something of an artists colony. The pub was one of the original Kiddleywinks, alehouses that could be opened by anyone paying £20 under the 1830 Beer Act. Spirits were banned - but a wink would produce smuggled brandy, hence the name and the sign. The management have been in place for over 30 years, and offer a simple menu of foods made from local produce. Free house - Doom Bar, Skinners, Cornish Ale, Heligan Honey and Cornish Storm Lager.
