Worth visiting for the history, this 600 year old pub overlooks the harbour and St Michael's Mount, just a brief step from the coastal walk. The story goes that Sir Walter Raleigh first smoked tobacco on English soil in this pub (he wouldn't be allowed today!) Also Judge Jeffreys held court here. And there are several ghosts in residence. Bar meals available (average main course £6.95). St Austell Brewery - HSD, Tinners, Tribute.
