Start and Finish

Type of Walk
A series of coves, some very beautiful, between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. Ilfracombe itself has a good deal of nautical history and some ancient pubs, plus a harbour for the fishing industry and the more modern boats. The town is smart and developed with numerous accommodation options and some lovely beach coves close by. Continuing along the south west coastal path, the route become very organised along Torrs Walk and out into open country, with high cliff walking to Morte Point and some very steep stretches before Woolacombe. This section can feel remote, miles from civilisation, though it is popular with day walkers especially in the warmer months.
